Walking Through Time: PMC’s Heritage Walk Unveils Pune’s Hidden Gems

Pune, December 8, 2023 – Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is gearing up to celebrate the city’s rich heritage with a Heritage Walk scheduled for December 10th, 2023. Starting from the iconic Shaniwarwada and concluding at Vishrambaugwada, the event promises a guided exploration of 11 historic sites, providing participants with insights into Pune’s cultural tapestry.

The Heritage Walk, set to commence at 7:00 am from Delhi Darwaza, Shaniwarwada, invites interested citizens to register for free at https://heritagewalk.pmc.gov.in. This initiative aims to create an immersive experience for both Pune residents and tourists, allowing them to delve into the architectural splendor and historical significance of the sites along the route.

Expert guides will accompany participants, offering in-depth information about each location, enhancing the overall experience. The Heritage Walk is a continuation of the PMC’s commitment to promoting and preserving Pune’s cultural heritage.

Building on the success of the inaugural one-week Heritage Walk held from April 30th to May 7th, 2023, this event further solidifies the PMC’s dedication to showcasing Pune’s history and architectural marvels.

As the participants traverse the route from Shaniwarwada to Vishrambaugwada, they will have the opportunity to connect with the city’s past, appreciating the rich legacy that has shaped Pune into the vibrant cultural hub it is today.
