CCTV Footage Captures Moment of Impact Near National Defence Academy’s Kondhwa Gate
In a harrowing incident on Thursday night, a speeding car plowed into two young pedestrians near the National Defence Academy’s (NDA) Kondhwa Gate on the Pune-Bahuli route at Warje. The shocking episode, captured by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera, unfolded in front of Peacock Hotel at 9:48 pm, revealing the vehicle colliding with the unsuspecting duo as they walked along the roadside, engrossed in their mobile phones.
The footage depicts the catastrophic impact, which sent the victims sprawling several feet away, while the callous driver callously fled the scene without stopping to render assistance.
Uttamnagar Police Station has initiated legal proceedings against the unidentified driver, underscoring the urgent need for vigilance and accountability on the city’s roads.
