Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil Reviews Issues in Wagholi and Proposes Solutions

Pune, 11th August 2023: In an effort to address various concerns faced by the residents of Wagholi, Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil conducted a review meeting on Friday. During the meeting, he discussed a range of issues affecting the area and proposed solutions to improve the quality of life for the local citizens.

One of the key points raised during the meeting was the need to establish a designated area for private travel buses to stand on the Pune-Ahmednagar Highway. These buses often halt and park on the roads, causing obstruction to other vehicles’ movement. Patil instructed officials to enforce rules strictly and find a suitable location where these buses can operate without disrupting traffic flow.

Patil also addressed the long-standing demand of the local residents for a bypass road from Wagholi to connect to the Pune-Ahmednagar highway. Recognizing the importance of this infrastructure project, he urged the Pune Municipal Corporation to allocate the necessary funds for its construction. Additionally, he advised the municipal corporation to formulate phase-wise plans for carrying out developmental works in the merged villages.

One of the major grievances voiced by the residents of Wagholi is the frequent power cuts in the area. To tackle this issue, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) proposed the construction of a separate substation. The existing infrastructure is inadequate to provide consistent electricity supply. Patil directed the concerned officials to expedite the process of creating an open space for the substation, aiming to improve the electricity situation in the locality.

The review meeting led by Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil reflects the commitment of local authorities to actively engage with the concerns of the residents and work towards practical solutions that enhance the overall living conditions in Wagholi. By addressing issues such as traffic management, infrastructure development, and electricity supply, the authorities aim to create a more conducive environment for the community’s growth and prosperity.
