Pune: The Feline Club of India is set to host an exceptional ‘Championship Cat Show’ in Pune on November 5, offering a unique opportunity for Puneites to witness cats of various species from around the world.
Saqib Pathan, President of The Feline Club of India, shared details of the event during a press conference, highlighting that the cat show will provide a one-stop destination for cat lovers, complete with various types of information.
The press conference, held at Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh, featured Dr. Bikash Mohanty, Marketing Manager at Orange Pet Nutrition, and Saloni Joshi, a cat specialist from Possum Vet Clinic.
Pathan went on to explain that The Feline Club of India organizes the ‘Championship Cat Show’ in various cities across the country. The forthcoming show in Pune is slated for Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Tulsi Villa, Lonkar Ali, Magarpatta, Mundhwa, commencing at 10 a.m.
Traditionally held in the evening, this year’s show has been rescheduled to the morning. It is expected to feature over 300 participating cats and will offer a wide array of activities throughout the day.
Attendees can access valuable information on cat grooming, adoption, and registration, along with stalls showcasing cat food and related supplies. The championship cat show will judge the winning cat based on internationally established criteria, considering factors such as the cat’s breed, weight, growth, and overall health.
It is a crucial opportunity for cat owners to assess whether their feline friends meet these standards and are receiving proper care. The judging panel for the championship cat show will be comprised of Michael Woods from Australia and Bradley Foud from Indonesia.
