Extended Metro Services: Pune Metro to Run Late-Night Trains During Ganesh Festival, Operating Till 2 AM on Immersion Day
In a bid to accommodate the high influx of visitors expected during the upcoming Ganesh festival, Pune Metro authorities have announced an extension of their operational hours. During this festive period, commuters and devotees can enjoy the convenience of late-night metro services.
Extended Metro Service Schedule:
From September 22nd to 27th, Pune Metro will extend its service hours up to midnight, offering an additional two hours for travelers to utilize this public transportation.
On September 28th, the day of immersion (Visarjan), metro services will run even later, operating until 2 AM to facilitate the transportation needs of the numerous people expected to visit the city during this significant festival day.
Ajit Pawar’s Request:
This decision comes following a request from Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who urged metro officials to extend their services throughout the Ganesh festival. Responding to this request, Pune Metro authorities have not only extended their operational hours but also initiated services from 6 AM every day, ensuring the convenience and accessibility of metro transportation for the public.
