As the festive season approaches, Central Railways is gearing up to enhance the travel experience of passengers during Diwali and Chhat Puja. The railway has introduced 28 additional festival specials between Pune-Danapur and Pune-Kanpur, offering a convenient and efficient mode of transportation for those celebrating the festivals. A) Extension of LTT-Danapur Puja-Diwali-Chhat Special (4 Days a Week)
The LTT-Danapur Puja-Diwali-Chhat Special, which previously operated weekly, will now be extended to run four days a week, totaling 42 trips. This special train with 22 ICF coaches will run from 28th October 2023 to 2nd December 2023.
- Departure: Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12.15 hrs every Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- Arrival: Danapur at 17.00 hrs the next day.
- Departure: Danapur at 18.15 hrs every Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
- Arrival: Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 23.55 hrs the next day.
This train will halt at key stations, including Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn., Buxar, Ara, and Danapur.
B) 28 Additional Weekly Services
- Pune-Danapur Weekly Special (8 Trips with 21 LHB Coaches)
The Pune-Danapur weekly special with 21 LHB coaches will operate eight trips.
- Departure: Pune at 19.55 hrs every Friday from 10th November 2023 to 1st December 2023.
- Arrival: Danapur at 04.30 hrs on the third day.
- Departure: Danapur at 06.30 hrs every Sunday from 12th November 2023 to 3rd December 2023.
- Arrival: Pune at 17.35 hrs the next day.
Stations include Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Ankai, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn., Buxar, Ara, and Danapur.
- Pune-Danapur Weekly Special (10 Trips with 23 ICF Coaches)
This special train will run ten trips with 23 ICF coaches.
- Departure: Pune at 19.55 hrs every Saturday from 4th November 2023 to 2nd December 2023.
- Arrival: Danapur at 04.30 hrs on the third day.
- Departure: Danapur at 06.30 hrs every Monday from 6th November 2023 to 4th December 2023.
- Arrival: Pune at 17.35 hrs the next day.

- Pune-Kanpur Weekly Special (10 Trips with 23 ICF Coaches)
The Pune-Kanpur weekly special will run for ten trips with 23 ICF coaches.
- Departure: Pune at 06.35 hrs every Wednesday from 1st November 2023 to 29th November 2023.
- Arrival: Kanpur at 07.10 hrs the next day.
- Departure: Kanpur at 08.50 hrs every Thursday from 2nd November 2023 to 30th November 2023.
- Arrival: Pune at 12.05 hrs the next day.
The train will make stops at Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati (Habibganj), Bina, Virangna Lakshmibai Jhansi, Urai, and Kanpur.
