Pune: Radhika Milind Shah (Wagholikar), a resident of Baramati, has been selected to provide training at the annual conference of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeries, which will take place in Las Vegas, United States.
Dr. Radhika Shah will be delivering training sessions to renowned surgeons and dieticians during the conference. This opportunity is extended to only a few select individuals and researchers each year during the society’s annual conference. Radhika Shah has made history as the first Indian woman dietician to be selected for providing training to doctors and dieticians from around the world.
She is scheduled to depart for the United States on June 25 to participate in the conference. Presenting one’s views and delivering training at this conference is a prestigious honor, and Radhika Shah’s selection reflects great recognition for Baramati.
In addition to this accomplishment, Radhika has also been invited as an experienced dietician to deliver a lecture at the conference of the Integrated Federation of Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorder (IFSO) in Naples, Italy, which will be held in August. Her research paper has been chosen as one of the top eight research papers worldwide, and she will present her findings during the conference.
Previously, Radhika has actively participated in prominent international conferences held in countries such as Malaysia, Belgium, England, Philippines, and India. She has been collaborating with renowned obesity expert Dr. Shashank Shah in Pune on the subject of obesity and has received global recognition for her research papers. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, she has conducted extensive work on promoting a healthy diet in the state.
The role of an obesity nutritionist has gained prominence in the last decade, and Radhika Shah has dedicated the past eight years to working in this field in India and abroad. Her extensive experience has earned her the privilege of providing training at the Las Vegas conference.
