Dr. Kumar Vishwas Immersed in History: Visit to Pune’s Shivsrushti Project Unveils Cultural Splendor

Renowned poet and political figure Dr. Kumar Vishwas recently graced the premises of Shivsrushti, a monumental historical theme park taking shape in Narhe-Ambegaon. The grand project, centered around the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, was conceptualized by the late Padma Vibhushan Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare and is now being developed by the Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan.

Accompanying Dr. Vishwas were esteemed dignitaries including Vineet Kuber, Trustee; Amrut Purandare, Trustee; Murlidhar Mohol, Ex-Mayor of Pune; Sandeep Jadhav, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s senior volunteer; Anil Pawar, Administrator of Shivsrushti, and others.

Expressing his reverence, Dr. Kumar Vishwas bowed down to the image of the late Padma Vibhushan Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare, acknowledging the lifelong efforts made by Babasaheb to impart the glorious history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to future generations. Dr. Vishwas also lauded the iconic play ‘Janata Raja’ and was deeply impressed by the footage showcasing the development of Shivsrushti on its sprawling 21-acre plot.

In particular, Dr. Vishwas found immense satisfaction in an audio-visual presentation on ‘Shriman Yogi’ and the weaponry used during the era of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Expressing his enthusiasm, he stated, “I would love to come back to Shivsrushti and present the ‘Shiv-Gaatha.’”

Vineet Kuber felicitated Dr. Kumar Vishwas with a traditional ‘Shinde-Shahi’ turban, a ‘Cowrie’ garland, and a shawl, marking the appreciation for his visit and acknowledgment of the cultural richness encapsulated in Shivsrushti.
