In celebration of Navratri, DPU Private Super Specialty Hospital in Pimpri organized an enlightening lecture series focused on women’s health. The series, led by medical experts, aimed to raise awareness about women’s health issues and empower women with knowledge to lead healthier lives.
As part of its commitment to society, the hospital conducted a range of activities alongside its medical services to mark Navratri. From October 15th to 23rd, expert doctors delivered daily lectures, each addressing specific aspects of women’s health.
The lecture series commenced with a video presentation by gynecologist and obstetrician Dr. Meenal Patvekar, who discussed Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOD). Deputy Superintendent of the Nursing Department, Surekha Kaspate, highlighted the importance of yoga for pregnant women. Dr. Prashant Surya Rao continued the discussion on PCOD in the subsequent days.
Dr. Sunita Ricewadkar, Chief Director of the IVF Department, guided women on achieving a healthy pregnancy and IVF procedures. Dr. Jayashree Kulkarni shared insights into pregnancy-related issues, while Dr. Bushra Khan explained the purpose and process of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
Dr. Shilpa Kshirsagar offered guidance on managing menopause, covering conditions before and after its occurrence. These sessions provided a platform for women to address their concerns and gain a better understanding of women’s health.
Dr. Madhukar Shinde conducted a Facebook Live session to provide scientific insights on IVF. Dr. Meenal Patvekar concluded the series with a lecture on menopause, discussing diet, routines, exercises, and changes during different life stages.
To add excitement to the program, it concluded with a lucky draw, where three winners received gifts from Dr. Bhagyashree Patil, the special chief guest of the event.
