Doshi Engineers Trophy: Nahar, Hingnekar, and Patil Make Centuries to Remember

In the “Doshi Engineers Trophy” Inter Club Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament, Yash Nahar, Divyang Hingnekar, and Vinay Patil showcased their prowess by scoring centuries for their respective teams, Poona Club, PYC Gymkhana, and Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy. This outstanding display of batting excellence secured victories for their teams in league encounters organized by the Path-Way Foundation, played at DVCA Ground, Poona Club Ground, Barne Cricket Academy Ground, and PYC Ground.

Yash Nahar’s brilliant century, with a score of 110 runs, powered Poona Club to a total of 295 runs for the loss of 9 wickets against Cadence Academy. In response, Cadence were bowled out for 203, resulting in a convincing 92-run victory for Poona Club, their second win in a row.

PYC Hindu Gymkhana posted a commanding total of 331 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 50 overs, thanks to Divyang Hingnekar’s exceptional knock of 126 runs. In reply, Aryans Cricket Club were bowled out for 229, with Aditya Daware of PYC taking 4 wickets for 48 runs. This performance secured a 102-run win for PYC Gymkhana, also their second consecutive victory.

Batting first at DVCA Ground, Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy scored 296 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their 50 overs, with Vinay Patil contributing an impressive 105 runs. Deccan Gymkhana struggled in response and were bowled out for just 148 runs, resulting in a convincing 148-run win for DVCA, marking their second consecutive victory.

Results – Barne Academy Ground:

  • Ambitious Cricket Club: 172/3 in 29.3 overs (Rushikesh Barne not out 55 from 67 balls with 8 boundaries, Harshal Hadke not out 36 from 44 balls with 1 boundary and 2 sixes, Abhinav Bhatt 37 from 41 balls with 8 boundaries, Sarthak Walke 2-27) won against Brilliant Sports Academy: 167 all out in 35.1 overs (Rohit Kharat 39 from 65 balls with 5 boundaries, Prajyot Haralikar 21, Utkarsha Chaudhary 19, Rishabh Karwa 3-26, Vabhav Vibhute 3-32, Akash Tanpure 2-22, Siddhant Doshi 2-26); MOM – Rishabh Karwa; Ambitious won by 8 wickets.

Poona Club:

  • Poona Club: 295/9 in 50 overs (Yash Nahar 110 from 99 balls with 10 boundaries and 5 sixes, Atharva Kale 81 from 92 balls with 7 boundaries and 4 sixes, Ajinkya Naik 26, Aquib Shaikh 19, Harshad Khadiwale 2-26, Swapnil Gugale 2-50, Akshay Waikar 2-51) won against Cadence: 203 all out in 40.4 overs (Aniket Porwal 37, Swapnil Gugale 25, Arqam Syed 25, Harshad Khadiwale 21, Nipun Gaikwad 16, Izhaan Sayed 24, Shubham Kothari 3-35, Yash Nahar 2-8, Akhilesh Gawle 2-22, Sourabh Pawar 1-20); MOM – Yash Nahar; Poona Club won by 92 Runs.

PYC Ground:
