Divine Devotion: Meeta Shah’s Musical Reverie at Sri Sri Ma Anandamayi Ashram

Renowned singer and composer Meeta Shah, a devoted disciple of Pujy Gurudev Rakeshji, the founder of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, captivated the audience with a soul-stirring “Bhajan Sandhya” performance at Sri Sri Ma Anandamayi Ashram during the Sri Sri Sharadiya Durga Puja Utsav today.

A Harmonious Offering Meeta Shah graced the gathering with her self-composed devotional songs, including “Yogeshwari Rahjeshwari,” “Guru tere dar pe aye,” “Achutam Keshav Krishna Damodaran,” and “Vitthal Vitthal Vitthala Hari Om Vitthala Vitthal,” among others. Her performance also featured Rajasthani bhajans and Sufi music, evoking heartfelt applause from the enchanted audience.

A Special Introduction Mishupy, the event’s gracious host, extended a warm welcome to all attendees and illuminated Meeta Shah’s profound spiritual connection. “Meeta Shah is a devoted disciple of Maa Anandamayi, having received her initiation from Swami Bhaskar Nandji in 2000. Through her melodious voice and unwavering faith, she has consistently served the Lord and uplifted spirits,” Mishupy shared. He also highlighted Shah’s noble gesture of donating all proceeds from her performances to support social services.

Honoring a Life of Devotion In honor of her exceptional contributions, Meeta Shah received accolades from Shri Pranab Mukherjee, the President of Sri Sri Ma Anandamayi Ashram in Pune, and Treasurer Shri Indulkar. The recognition celebrated her remarkable journey of performing over a thousand shows, featuring patriotic songs, bhajans, Sufi music, and a blend of traditional and fusion music.

A Harmonious Ensemble Meeta Shah’s enchanting performance was complemented by a talented ensemble of musicians, including Vivek Paranjape on synthesizer, Padmakar Gujar, Hrithik Pratik on side rhythm, Tushar Deshmukh on guitar, and vocalists Bindu Shah, Gayatri Guru, Prachi Karnik, Naina Kalka, and Dr. Aparna Atre.
