Kondhwa: A seemingly innocent gesture of sending a cake via courier to express one-sided affection took a disturbing turn when the recipient declined the offer, resulting in a distressing incident in the Kondhwa area of Pune. The individual involved in the incident has been identified as 31-year-old Ankit Singh, a resident of Keshavnagar.
The unfortunate episode unfolded as Ankit Singh and the young woman had shared an acquaintance since May 2022. As Ankit’s attempts to establish a closer relationship faced rejection, the young woman opted to block his mobile number. Despite this clear boundary, Ankit Singh persisted in his efforts to regain contact with her.
The situation escalated as the young woman’s birthday approached on August 24. Ankit Singh, determined to commemorate the occasion, sent a cake to her via courier. Regrettably, security personnel at the residential complex intervened and prevented the courier from entering the premises. Undeterred by this obstacle, Ankit Singh decided to personally intervene. He appeared at the location, causing a disruption, and ultimately managed to gain access to the young woman’s residence, where he presented the cake.
However, the situation took an unfortunate turn when the young woman declined the cake, leading to a confrontation during which she endured physical harm.
