Courier Company’s Driver and Cleaner Arrested for Stealing Apple Products Worth Rs 3.90 Lakh

In a recent development, the Crime Branch Unit of Pune City Police has successfully apprehended a driver and cleaner associated with a courier company for their alleged involvement in the theft of delivery parcels containing Apple products with a combined value of Rs 3.90 lakh. The case was reported and registered at the Sahkarnagar Police Station, raising concerns about the safety and security of valuable shipments.

The investigation into the theft was initiated following a complaint lodged about the disappearance of courier parcels belonging to Blue Dart, a prominent courier service provider. These parcels were reported to contain high-value products from Apple, a well-known tech company. As the gravity of the situation became apparent, the city’s crime branch unit took charge of the investigation to bring the culprits to justice.

The breakthrough in the case came when the police received information about the suspected individuals attempting to sell the stolen Apple mobile phones in the Padmavati Parking area. Acting swiftly on this lead, the police team conducted a raid at the specified location and managed to apprehend two suspects.

The accused have been identified as Abhijeet Arun Jadhav (26) and Akshay Sambhaji Nimbalkar (23), both residents of Daund taluka in Pune. Upon thorough interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the theft of the valuable Apple products. Subsequent to their confession, the police seized a significant amount of stolen goods from their possession. The recovered items included five Apple mobile phones, one Apple iPad, and three digital watches, collectively valued at Rs 3,90,445.

The successful arrest and recovery of stolen goods underscore the effectiveness of the Pune City Police’s Crime Branch Unit in addressing such criminal activities. As the investigation continues, the police will be working to uncover further details about the circumstances and extent of the theft, as well as any potential accomplices or networks involved in such illicit activities.
