Central Railway Introduces Special Train for Mumbai-Kolhapur Route on August 12

In response to the increased demand for travel, Central Railway has announced a special one-way train service that will operate between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai and Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus Kolhapur on August 12, 2023.

The special train numbered 01099 will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 00:30 hrs on August 12, 2023, which falls on a Saturday. The train is scheduled to reach Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus Kolhapur at 11:30 hrs on the same day.

The train will make halts at important stations along the route including Dadar, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Satara, and Miraj.

The train’s composition includes various classes to cater to different passenger preferences. It comprises of one First cum Second AC, one AC 2 Tier, two AC 3 Tier, ten Sleeper Class, and eight General Second Class compartments, including two Guard’s Brake Vans.

Passenger reservations for the special train (number 01099) are available on a special charges basis. Interested travelers can make their bookings at all computerized reservation centers or through the official website of Indian Railways’ catering and tourism arm, IRCTC (www.irctc.co.in).
