Central Railway Responds to Passenger Demand by Extending Special Train Services
Central Railway has taken a proactive step to address the increasing demand for train travel by extending the periodicity of several special trains. This decision aims to provide commuters with more travel options and alleviate the challenges posed by the surge in passenger numbers.
Details of the Extended Special Trains:
- Train No. 01439 Pune-Amravati Bi-weekly Special: Originally scheduled to operate until September 29, 2023, this train will now continue its services from October 1, 2023, to November 17, 2023, offering 14 additional trips.
- Train No. 01440 Amravati-Pune Bi-weekly Special: Initially slated to run until September 30, 2023, this train’s operation will be extended until November 18, 2023, with an additional 14 trips.
- Train No. 01127 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Balharshah Weekly Special: Previously set to conclude its service on September 26, 2023, this train will now run from October 3, 2023, to November 14, 2023, providing passengers with 7 extra trips.
- Train No. 01128 Balharshah-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Weekly Special: Initially expected to end on September 27, 2023, this train will continue its operations from October 4, 2023, to November 15, 2023, with an additional 7 trips.
Importantly, there will be no alterations in the timings, composition, or halts for the aforementioned trains, ensuring that passengers can maintain their regular schedules.
Reservations for these extended trips will open on September 30, 2023, at all computerized reservation centers and via the official website www.irctc.co.in, with special charges applicable.
