Sunit Kothari, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Tourism Development Foundation, has voiced a fervent appeal to ‘Fly91’ airlines for the establishment of air connectivity between Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and key destinations such as Pune, Nagpur, and Goa.
During a comprehensive discussion that spanned approximately one and a half hours, Kothari engaged in talks with the Chief Revenue Officer of Fly91. The crux of their dialogue revolved around the potential commencement of flight services along several routes. The proposed routes encompass Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Pune, Nagpur, Jalgaon, and Goa.
Fly91, based in Goa, operates with its primary hub situated in this picturesque coastal state. The airline currently operates flights utilizing the 74-seater ATR-72 aircraft. Demonstrating its expansion ambitions, Fly91 plans to augment its fleet by adding an additional six aircraft by the close of March 2024.
The push for enhanced air connectivity signifies the importance of seamless travel options for local residents and tourists alike. The establishment of these air routes could potentially provide a substantial boost to the tourism and travel industry in the region.
