BJP Leader Alleges Misrepresentation of Wadas as Slums for SRA Scheme

Ujwal Keskar Raises Concerns Over Alleged Collusion Between Officials and Builders

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ujwal Keskar has leveled accusations against certain administrative officers, alleging their collaboration with builders in portraying old wadas as slums for development under the Slum Rehabilitation Scheme (SRA).

In a letter addressed to the Pune Municipal Commissioner, Keskar expressed grave concerns over the purported plan orchestrated by officials of the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), politicians, and developers. He emphasized that such actions would constitute a blatant violation of the law and could potentially displace wada occupants, including tenants.

Keskar further provided details to the civic chief, including survey numbers and locations of the wadas reportedly earmarked for the SRA scheme.
