Bhakti Tigress Transitions: From Pune to Jaipur’s Nahargarh Biological Park

In a significant move towards conservation and biodiversity exchange, the Nahargarh Biological Park in Jaipur is set to welcome the renowned Bhakti Tigress from Pune’s Rajeev Gandhi Zoological Park. This marks the initiation of an exciting Tiger Safari Expedition, with the exchange program facilitating the transfer of three foxes and a female Taras from Jaipur to Pune.

Accompanied by Dr. Arvind Mathur and a dedicated team, Bhakti embarked on her journey from Pune to Jaipur. A mandatory 21-day quarantine period will ensure her health and well-being before she takes her place in the Nahargarh Biological Park, enriching the tiger population and offering visitors a captivating encounter.

The park is also anticipating the arrival of another pair of tigresses from Nagpur, pending necessary permissions. Stringent measures and investments have been implemented to guarantee the safety and welfare of all tigers involved in this noteworthy initiative.

Visitors to the Nahargarh Biological Park can anticipate an immersive experience along an 8-kilometer track, providing a 45-minute window to observe the tigers in their natural habitat.

Meanwhile, developments at Pune’s Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park include the introduction of a male leopard, two male and two female four-horned antelopes, two-striped hyenas, and a male hyena. These additions aim to enhance breeding opportunities, enrich biodiversity, and contribute to ongoing conservation efforts.
