Air Vistara Expands Wings: Pune-Dubai Route in the Pipeline After Pune-Singapore Success

Exciting times are on the horizon for Pune’s air travelers as Air Vistara, buoyed by the success of its Pune-Singapore flight, has set its sights on establishing a direct air route from Pune to Dubai. Former MCCIA president Sudhir Mehta shared this exciting development on Twitter, expressing optimism about the prospect.

“Anticipating the same success as the PNQ-SIN route, we expect the PNQ-DXB route to be a game-changer, offering crucial and dependable international air connectivity to the west for both leisure and business travelers,” tweeted Sudhir Mehta.

Mehta further highlighted the significance of this move for Pune’s global connectivity, emphasizing that the success of the Pune-Singapore route has paved the way for this strategic expansion. He extends his gratitude to Air Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan for considering the requests and proactively taking steps to link Pune globally.

While expressing optimism, Mehta acknowledged that the commencement of the Pune-Dubai flight is subject to the granting of traffic rights and the availability of slots in Pune. Notably, Air Vistara is also exploring the possibility of flights to Abu Dhabi, contingent upon obtaining landing rights.

In a proactive approach, Mehta announced plans to formally write to the Honorable Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Airport Authorities, and the Ministry of Civil Aviation to promptly approve Air Vistara’s request for the Pune-Dubai route.

He urged citizens and public representatives to join in this request, emphasizing the swift approval of this vital flight that holds immense potential for the region’s connectivity and economic growth.
