Pune: It seems that the incidents of violence against women are increasing day by day in Pune. In a shocking incident a 17-year-old boy has molested an 8-year-old girl in Kalas area of Pune. A minor boy has been detained by the police in this case. The incident took place on Saturday, October 7 at around 12pm.
The victim girl’s mother has filed a complaint at Vishrantwadi police station. Based on the complaint the police have registered a case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 354, 506, POCSO section 8,12 against the 17-year-old minor and detained him.
According to the police, “The accused lives next to the house of the complainant. On Saturday around 12pm, the accused took the 8-year-old daughter of the complainant to his home and molested her. The incident came to light after the girl told her mother about it. Soon the victim’s mother rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint against the minor. The police registered the case under various IPC sections including POCSO and detained the accused.”
The case is further investigated by the Assistant Police Inspector Mali.
