Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital (YCMH) in Pimpri-Chinchwad is set to enhance healthcare education and training with the launch of a new nursing college. The Maharashtra government has granted provisional approval for this significant development, as announced by Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge.
New Nursing Program
The newly established college will offer a four-year BSc Nursing course, accommodating 60 students annually. This initiative is poised to provide essential nursing education to students from Pimpri-Chinchwad and surrounding areas at affordable fees.
Expansion of Paramedical Courses
In addition to the BSc Nursing program, YCMH will offer other paramedical courses at full capacity. These include the Bachelor of Paramedical Technology (BPMT) and the Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (PGDMLT). These courses aim to equip students with the skills needed to meet the growing demands of the healthcare sector.

“This initiative will help improve patient care services in the municipal corporation’s hospitals and provide better healthcare facilities to the citizens of the city,” stated BJP leader Mahesh Landge. By increasing the availability of trained healthcare professionals, YCMH will enhance its patient care services, ensuring better healthcare outcomes for the community.
