In response to an urgent repair requirement at the Ravet pumping station, several areas in Pimpri Chinchwad are set to experience a water cut on the night of December 20 (Wednesday) and will face limited water supply on December 21 (Thursday). The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has identified a leakage in the rising main (vertical pipe) at Ravet pumping station phases 3 & 4, necessitating immediate attention.
The affected regions include parts of Chinchwad, Nehrunagar, Thergaon, Kalewadi, Rahatani, Pimple Saudagar, Pimple Gurav, Sangvi, Wakad, Nigdi Authority, Tathwade, Kiwale, Mamurdi, Chikhli, some parts of Moshi, Jadhavwadi, Rupinagar, Talwade, Krishnanagar, Yamunanagar, Akurdi. Residents in these areas are advised to prepare for a water supply cut starting from the evening of December 20, with water supply on December 21 expected to be irregular and under low pressure.
The PCMC is actively engaged in addressing the leakage issue, with repair work progressing swiftly. In light of this, citizens are requested to use water judiciously during this period and extend their cooperation to the PCMC as they strive to resolve the critical situation.
