Talegaon’s Vibrant Ganeshotsav: 155 Mandals Gear Up for Immersions


Unity and Devotion: 155 Ganeshotsav Mandals in Talegaon and Environs Prepare for Immersion Ceremonies Today

In a magnificent display of devotion and solidarity, a total of 155 public Ganeshotsav mandals falling under the jurisdiction of Talegaon Dabhade, Talegaon MIDC, and Shirgaon police stations are all set to immerse their revered Ganesh idols today. The tradition of immersing the idols on the seventh day of the festival holds immense cultural significance in the Maval taluka.

The elaborate immersion processions will culminate at two primary ghats located in Talegaon Dabhade, complemented by additional immersion sites in Induri and Somatne. These locations serve as the epicenters for the symbolic and heartfelt farewell to Lord Ganesha in the region.

Talegaon Dabhade Police Station: An impressive total of 91 public Ganeshotsav mandals are poised to conduct the immersion ceremonies today. Both public mandals and individual households will partake in these rituals, upholding cherished local traditions. Stringent security measures and meticulously planned routes have been implemented to ensure the seamless progress of the processions.

Shirgaon Police Station: Within this jurisdiction, 73 Ganeshotsav mandals are officially registered, with 32 scheduled for immersion on this significant day. Additional immersions are anticipated on the ninth and tenth days of the festival. Security arrangements include the deployment of three officers and 40 enforcers to oversee the proceedings. Senior Police Inspector Vanita Dhumal underscored the importance of adopting eco-friendly practices and adhering to government guidelines during the immersions.

Talegaon MIDC Police Station: Here, a total of 32 public Ganeshotsav mandals will actively participate in today’s immersion ceremonies, with the picturesque Induri ghat being their preferred site for immersion. The safety of all participants is a top priority, with four officers and 37 enforcers diligently monitoring the proceedings. Senior Police Inspector Ranjit Sawant issued a reminder to avoid venturing into deep waters and urged for a joyful and secure culmination of the festival.
