MSEDCL

PUNE / PIMPRI: A new high power substation is going to be set up at Charholi and Moshi considering the increasing demand for new connections and for reducing the burden on the present power distribution system. At the Bhosari sub centre, a transformer of 50 MVA capacity will be installed. A proposal regarding this was cleared by CMD of MSEDCL Lokesh Chandra. The proposal has been sent from MSEDCL to MSETCL. Setting up new sub stations and increasing the capacity of existing sub stations will be done by MSETCL.

Because of these two high power sub stations, the burden on high power sub stations at Bhosari, Telco, Markal will be reduced to a great extent. There will be regular power supply to Pimpri Chinchwad, Bhosari, MIDC area, Charholi, Pride World City, Dabhadevasti, Lohegaon, Dhanori, Moshi, Alandi, Jadhavwadi, Shivajivasti, Tupevasti, Chimbli, Kelgaon, Dudulgaon, Chovisvadi, Vadmukhwadi, Borhadewadi, water supply centre, electric vehicle charging station, STP, garbage depot. The incidents of power failure due to technical reasons will reduce. If there is power failure for any reason, an alternative system will be available.

At present, from high power sub stations at Bhosari RS 1, 2, Markal, Telco and Century Enka, power is supplied to 33 KV and 22 kv capacity 66 power cables. All these cables will be divided and their length will be reduced and the load will be shifted to the high power 220 KV sub stations being set up at Pride World City at Charholi and Safari Park at Moshi. Permission has been given for setting up two high power new sub stations and increase in the capacity of a sub station. Through this, a power load of 400 MVA will be available. The load on the existing five subs stations will reduce. This will help in supply of power regularly to Pimpri Chinchwad, Bhosari MIDC area and residents of 20 villages, said MSEDCL’s Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar.
