In a festive celebration on the occasion of Shiv Sena’s Member of Parliament for Maval Lok Sabha constituency, Shrirang Barne’s birthday, a series of honors are set to be bestowed upon exemplary individuals and institutions. Senior writer Dr. Sadanand More and film actor Ashok Samarth are among the distinguished personalities to be recognized at the event organized by the MP Shrirang Barne Social Foundation.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Prof Ramakrishna More Auditorium in Chinchwad at 5 pm on Thursday, coinciding with Barne’s birthday. The celebrations, spanning four days, have featured various programs, leading up to this culminating event.
The list of esteemed awardees includes Dr. Pankaj Maharaj Gawde, who will be honored with the Warkari Bhushan Award, Jalandhar Maharaj Kalokhe receiving the Samaj Bhushan Award, and Bhausaheb Bhoir. Dr. Avinash Vachasundar is set to receive the Arogya Bhushan Award, while Rakesh Sonigara will be presented with the Udyog Ratna Award, and Vaishali Deshman with the Yoga Bhushan Award.
Ajit Jagtap is slated to be honored with the Environment Bhushan Award, and individuals such as Dhananjay Varnekar, Aarti Bhegde, and Nita Mohite will respectively receive the Shikshan Ratna and Shikshan Bhushan Awards. Noteworthy organizations, including the Shivdurg Mitra Lonavala Trekking and Adventure Club and the Adarsh Kamgar Union SKF Kamgar Union, will also be recognized for their contributions.
