MLA Landge and Commissioner Singh Add Splendor to Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s 41st Anniversary

The 41st anniversary of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation was celebrated with great fervor, marking four decades of dedicated service to the community. On this significant occasion, officers and employees united in the spirit of celebration, participating in various cultural and sporting events, and making a noble contribution by actively taking part in a blood donation drive.

The celebrations commenced with a heartwarming tribute to a pivotal figure in Pimpri Chinchwad’s history, the late Annasaheb Magar, who is revered as the city’s architect. In a ceremony held at the Municipal Corporation’s main administrative building in Pimpri, the statue of Annasaheb Magar was honored, with MLA Mahesh Landge and Commissioner Shekhar Singh gracing the occasion. The event brought together municipal officials, employees, and citizens to pay their respects.

In the morning, the spotlight turned to a blood donation camp within the Municipal Corporation’s premises. Commissioner Shekhar Singh inaugurated the camp and took the opportunity to encourage Municipal Corporation officers and employees to actively participate in this noble endeavor. He emphasized the profound impact of a single drop of blood in saving a life, inspiring all to contribute to the cause.

As part of the celebration, a diverse array of games and cultural events awaited the officers and employees. The morning witnessed an exhilarating tug-of-war competition, with officers facing off against the employees. While the staff team put up a commendable fight, it was the officers who emerged victorious, led by Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale Patil as captain. MLA Mahesh Landge and Commissioner Shekhar Singh presided over the match as referees. Following this, a lively musical chair competition engaged both male and female officers and employees.

Amidst the festive spirit, a special program named “Khel Paithani” was organized exclusively for women. This event featured engaging activities, including cooking, fancy dress, and Rangoli competitions. The Municipal Corporation’s main administrative building was adorned with a captivating garden, thoughtfully designed with a blend of diverse trees and adorned with vibrant flowers, further illuminated by colorful electric lighting.
