Dehu Road Police Crack Down on Illegal Gas Refilling, Two Arrested

Dehu Road, November 6, 2023: The Dehu Road Police have taken decisive action against the illicit trade of domestic gas, registering a case against four individuals involved in the black market operation. Two of the accused have been apprehended in the Vikas Nagar area of Dehu Road as part of a crackdown on this illegal gas refilling operation, which unfolded on a Sunday.

The two individuals placed under arrest are Vijay Bhausaheb Kokare (28 years old) and Anil Baban Gadale (24 years old), both residents of Dehu Road. Simultaneously, a case has been filed against Shashikant Sanjay Mitkari (23 years old) and Prashant Ashok Karande (19 years old), who also hail from Dehu Road.

According to the police, the accused were involved in the unlawful transfer of gas from full cylinders to empty ones, a process executed without the requisite permissions and safety protocols. This illegal activity presented a grave and life-threatening hazard. Consequently, the Dehu Road Police promptly arrested two of the accused while continuing their comprehensive investigation into the matter.
