Shocking: Dog Beaten up by Staff at Veterinary Clinic in Thane; Staff Arrested

In a distressing incident that has sparked outrage, a video circulating online exposed staff members abusing a pet dog at Vetic Pet Clinic in Thane West. The public’s strong reaction prompted the closure of the clinic, with authorities swiftly responding to the incident after condemnation from activists and animal lovers. Following the inhumane treatment captured in the video, two individuals have been taken into custody.

As per additional information shared by Vidit Sharma on social media, “Shocking incident at Vetic Vet Clinic in Mumbai Thane. Individuals responsible for such abuse should be behind bars. It’s imperative for proper background verification to be conducted before hiring grooming staff. This behavior is utterly disgusting—no pet should ever endure such treatment.”

Videos circulating on social media depict Thane police making arrests in connection with the incident. However, the names of the individuals taken into custody have not been disclosed. The authorities have also directed the immediate closure of the pet clinic.

The incident unfolded earlier this month when the dog’s owner entrusted the pet to the clinic’s boarding services while celebrating their wedding in Thane. Unaware of the abuse, the owner was shocked when the video surfaced online, revealing the extent of mistreatment their beloved dog had suffered. Taking swift action, the dog has been relocated to PetAshram, a Thane pet boarding facility, where it is reportedly on the path to a full recovery.
