Maha DyCM’s office clarifies purpose of ‘Project Monitering Room’

Mumbai, Aug 12 (UNI) The office of Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday issued a clarification saying that the purpose of the ‘Project Monitoring Room’ is to speed up the development process by removing obstacles in the development work of the state and making Maharashtra a leading state in the country.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawar is working through the ‘Project Monitoring Room’ to remove the obstacles in the construction of important infrastructure development projects in the state, including Konkan, Nashik, Pune and the development works without delay, a press release said here.

The entire cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, is striving to speed up the development process of the state.

The 24th meeting of ‘Project Monitoring Room’ was held by the Deputy Chief Minister last week.

In this meeting, the progress of Konkan Sea Highway connecting tourist centres in Konkan, Revas-Reddy Sea Highway, Medical Colleges of Satara-Alibag, Pune Metro, Pune Ring Road, GST Bhawan in Mumbai, Krishi Bhawan in Pune, Commissionerate of Education, Labour Welfare Bhawan, Sahakar Bhawan, Registration Bhawan, Sugar Museum, Indrayani Medicity, Police Housing Project, Shirur-Khed-Karjat Road Four-Waying, ‘Sarathi’ Training Centre, Vadhu-Tulapur Swarajraksha Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Memorial, Pandharpur City, Development of Vitthal Mandir area, etc., was reviewed along with availability of funds, the release added.
