DTC Adjusts Bus Timings for Delhi Election Day: Early Morning Service on 35 Routes

Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has announced a special initiative to facilitate commuters and election duty personnel during the upcoming Delhi elections. On May 25th, 35 DTC bus routes will commence services as early as 4 AM, an hour and a half earlier than their usual schedule.

Service Modifications:

  • Early Start: The buses will commence operations at 4 AM instead of the standard 5:30 AM start time.
  • Date: This adjustment is exclusively for May 25th, the day of the Delhi elections.
  • Routes: The 35 selected routes cover a wide range of areas, including connections to neighboring cities. This measure is particularly beneficial for commuters traveling from surrounding regions to cast their votes in Delhi.
  • Purpose: The primary objective behind this early start is to ensure the smooth transportation of voters and election duty personnel, especially those residing farther from polling stations. By providing an early morning service, DTC aims to enhance voter turnout and support the electoral process by facilitating timely transportation for both voters and staff.

This proactive step by DTC underscores its commitment to fostering a conducive environment for democratic participation and ensuring that logistical challenges do not hinder the electoral process. With enhanced accessibility and convenience, voters and election duty personnel can navigate their journeys seamlessly on election day.
