Clash Erupts Between Guards and Residents at White Orchid Apartments in Greater Noida West

In a dramatic turn of events, a clash erupted between security guards and residents at the White Orchid apartments in Greater Noida West’s Gaur City-2 township. The turmoil stems from an ongoing dispute regarding the transfer of maintenance responsibilities from the builder to the residents.

The conflict unfolded as residents insisted on the builder handing over control of maintenance and security to the Apartment Owners’ Association (AOA). The AOA had formally communicated their decision to initiate the transfer on February 7, aiming for a seamless transition.

Unexpectedly, on February 8, the builder abruptly ceased all services, prompting the AOA to engage another facility management agency to ensure the continuity of essential services. The new personnel arrived around 6 pm, and chaos ensued with alleged attacks by security guards and the closure of society gates.

Residents asserted that the builder had deployed bouncers disguised as security personnel, heightening tensions further. In response, the builder denied these allegations, claiming that the AOA’s actions were illegal and against the terms of the agreement.

The situation is currently under mediation, with police presence deployed to maintain law and order. As of now, no registered cases have been reported, but the rift between the builder and residents remains palpable. The clash highlights the growing discord over management control and brings attention to the need for effective conflict resolution to ensure the well-being of the community.
