Vi Revolutionizes Connectivity: eSIM Services Launched for Prepaid Customers in Maharashtra & Goa

Vi, a leading telecom provider, has unveiled its eSIM services for prepaid customers in Maharashtra & Goa, ushering in a new era of seamless and eco-friendly connectivity for millions of users. This strategic move allows Vi’s prepaid customers to enjoy greater flexibility and convenience on compatible smartphones and smartwatches.

The eSIM technology enables Vi prepaid customers to use multiple profiles on a single device, eliminating the need to physically switch between SIM cards. This not only enhances convenience but also aligns with Vi’s commitment to sustainability, offering a faster and more efficient adoption of cutting-edge technologies. With this launch, both postpaid and prepaid Vi customers can leverage the benefits of eSIMs on their devices.

How to Get Vi eSIM:

For Existing Customers:

  1. Send an SMS with “eSIM <space> registered email id” to 199 to initiate the process.
  2. Upon receiving a confirmation SMS, reply with “ESIMY” within 15 minutes to confirm the eSIM change request.
  3. Provide consent over a call and receive a QR Code on your registered email id.
  4. Scan the QR Code by going to Settings > Mobile Data > Add data plan.
  5. Choose the default line (Primary/Secondary) for your device and activate your eSIM within 30 minutes.

For New Customers:

  1. Visit the nearest Vi store with identity proof for a smooth activation process.
  2. Alternatively, use the online journey on www.myvi.in for prepaid subscribers to streamline the activation process.

Vi eSIM services are accessible to both iOS and Android users, covering a range of smartphone models from various manufacturers. Vi customers can update their email ID to avail eSIM services by sending an SMS ‘Email <space> Email ID’ to 199. After registering their email ID, customers can activate the service via SMS after a 48-hour waiting period.
