MTS Introduces “Secretary”: The AI-Powered Call Assistant

Russian telecom giant MTS has unveiled a groundbreaking AI-driven service named “Secretary,” designed to handle incoming calls on behalf of subscribers. This innovative service can step in when a user is busy, unavailable, or simply prefers not to answer the call.

Powered by MTS AI

Behind this cutting-edge service is MTS AI, a subsidiary of MTS, which has developed the robust AI platform powering “Secretary.” This AI assistant is equipped with advanced speech recognition and dialogue interpretation capabilities, offering a dynamic and customizable call management solution.

Understanding and Responding to Callers

“Secretary” relies on the Audiogram AI platform to interpret callers’ words and transform audio into text. It can respond in multiple voices, allowing users to select from nine distinct personas, from charming male to wise female. Furthermore, the platform includes features like antimat and denormalizer functions, ensuring that inappropriate language is handled appropriately.

Personalized Engagement and Spam Handling

One of the standout features of “Secretary” is its ability to recognize the context and subject matter of calls using keywords. It can provide personalized responses to different types of calls, whether they are from loved ones, work-related, or even spam. The AI assistant can even engage with spammers in a humorous manner, adding a touch of fun to otherwise unwanted calls.

Informative Post-Call Summaries

After each call, “Secretary” sends the user a summary of the dialogue in both text and audio format via SMS or Telegram. This summary clarifies the nature of the call, whether it’s a spam call or potentially important. Users receive details about the caller’s identity, whether it’s a delivery service, a colleague, a relative, or an appointment administrator.

Continuous Improvement and Customization

MTS is committed to enhancing the capabilities of “Secretary.” The company plans to refine speech synthesis, recognition technologies, and communication scenarios between the AI assistant and users. Future updates will also introduce machine learning (ML) capabilities to enhance user understanding and call categorization.

A Touch of Fun with “Revolver” Phrases

“Secretary” already offers more than 100 dialogue scenarios to cater to a wide range of call types. It also includes a “revolver” feature, which injects humor into conversations with a collection of jokes and light-hearted questions.

Affordable and User-Friendly

MTS is making “Secretary” accessible to users with two basic voices (male and female) available for free. Additionally, users can choose from nine character personas, each with its unique mood (e.g., fun, daring, business), free for the first 14 days and subsequently available for 110 rubles per month.

“Secretary” is set to redefine call management for MTS subscribers, offering both practicality and entertainment in a single AI-powered package.
