On the occasion of World EV Day, Tork Motors, one of India’s pioneering electric motorcycle manufacturers, has opened its second experience zone (showroom) in Pune, Maharashtra. The inauguration of this state-of-the-art facility was graced by Ajit Pawar, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, showcasing the government’s support for the electric vehicle (EV) industry.
This new 3S (Sales, Service, and Spares) facility will serve as the exclusive hub for Tork Motors’ flagship model, the Kratos-R electric motorcycle, offering both sales and after-sales services to consumers in the region.
Kapil Shelke, the Founder & CEO of Tork Motors, expressed his optimism about the facility, stating, “We are optimistic that this facility will help us further our mission of offering a holistic EV ownership experience to our customers in and around the city.”
The Tork Kratos-R is a premium commuter e-motorcycle that has garnered attention for its exceptional performance, nimble handling, and sporty design. It boasts a 4.0 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with an IP 67 rating, powering a 9 kW ‘Axial Flux’ motor, which recently received a patent for its efficiency in developing a peak torque of 38 Nm at 96% efficiency.
One of its standout features is the availability of three distinct ride modes – Eco, City, and Sport – enabling riders to tailor the motorcycle’s performance to their specific riding style. In Eco mode, the Kratos-R delivers an impressive 180 km on a single charge, while in Sport mode, it can reach a top speed of 105 km/h, making it suitable for various riding conditions. Additionally, it offers a convenient reverse mode for added rider flexibility.
Earlier this year, the Kratos-R underwent significant enhancements, including a sleek all-black motor and battery pack, stylish decals for an enhanced visual appeal, and the addition of a fast-charging port. The motorcycle is available in five vibrant colors, catering to a wide range of preferences. Tork Motors also introduced the Urban edition of the Kratos-R, targeting urban commuters seeking a reliable and efficient electric motorcycle.
