Royal Enfield’s Shotgun 650: Collector’s Edition Unveiled, Production-Ready Model to Blaze Trails in January

Royal Enfield is gearing up to elevate its 650cc lineup with the highly anticipated launch of the Shotgun 650, set to hit the roads in January. Following the recent unveiling of the Motoverse limited-edition model, priced at Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom), Royal Enfield is ready to introduce the Shotgun 650 as both a collector’s edition and a production-ready model.

The Motoverse limited-edition variant, with a steep price tag, serves as a collector’s dream, limited to just 25 units, each adorned with a unique paint scheme. This model was unveiled at the Motoverse 2023, showcasing Royal Enfield’s commitment to exclusivity and craftsmanship.

Derived from the SG650 concept showcased at the 2021 EICMA show in Milan, the Shotgun 650 shares its primary chassis with the Super Meteor 650. However, expect distinctive features such as different wheels and overall geometry, setting it apart from its 650cc counterparts. The ergonomics of the Shotgun offer a unique riding experience compared to other Royal Enfield 650s.

Under the hood, the Shotgun 650 houses the familiar 649cc, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin-cylinder engine, generating 47bhp and 52Nm of torque, coupled with a six-speed gearbox.

In terms of pricing, the Shotgun 650 is anticipated to position itself below the Super Meteor 650, with an expected price range between Rs 3.3 lakh and Rs 3.4 lakh (ex-showroom). Enthusiasts can anticipate a variety of colors to choose from, adding a personalized touch to this exciting addition to the Royal Enfield lineup.
