MG Motor India has announced a revision in the pricing of its popular SUV range, the Hector, in the Indian market. Among the models affected by the price adjustment, the three-row SUV variant, the Hector Plus, has witnessed an increase in its price by up to Rs. 61,000. As a result of this adjustment, the price range for the MG Hector Plus now falls between Rs. 18 lakh and Rs. 23.78 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

The MG Hector Plus is available in both six-seater and seven-seater configurations, spread across four variants: Smart, Smart EX, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. Notably, the diesel variants of the Smart Pro and Sharp Pro models have experienced the most significant price increase, with an uptick of Rs. 59,000 and Rs. 61,000, respectively. On the other hand, all other variants, including both petrol and diesel options, have witnessed a uniform price increase of Rs. 30,000.

In terms of powertrain options, the MG Hector Plus boasts two updated BS6-compliant engines: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers an output of 141bhp and a peak torque of 250Nm. Meanwhile, the 2.0-litre diesel engine generates an impressive 168bhp and a robust 350Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine offers the flexibility of being paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT unit. Conversely, the diesel engine is exclusively mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

With this latest price revision, MG Motor India aims to align its offerings with the current market dynamics while ensuring that customers continue to receive value for their investment. The Hector Plus, known for its spaciousness and premium features, remains an attractive option for Indian consumers looking for a family-oriented SUV with modern amenities.
