SUV Revolution: India’s Best-Selling 7-Seaters on a Budget

India’s love affair with SUVs continues to grow, and the demand for 7-seater SUVs under 8 lakhs has transformed these vehicles into best-sellers. Over the past decade, SUVs have evolved from being niche choices to dominating the Indian automotive landscape, with key players like Hyundai, Mahindra, and Maruti Suzuki leading the charge.

Hyundai Creta

The price of India’s most popular mid-size SUV, Hyundai Creta, ranges from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20.15 lakh. It offers three powertrains – 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, and 1.5-litre diesel engine – generating power outputs of 115 bhp, 160 bhp, and 116 bhp respectively.

Mahindra Bolero Neo

As a new addition to Mahindra’s lineup, Bolero Neo is priced between Rs 9.90 lakh to Rs 12.15 lakh. It features a single 1.5-liter diesel engine with 100 bhp power and 260 Nm peak torque.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic

The Scorpio Classic model by Mahindra, priced from Rs 13.59 lakh to Rs 17.35 lakh, boasts a 2.2-liter diesel engine generating 132 bhp power and 300 Nm peak torque.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

Maruti Suzuki Brezza, with a price range of Rs 8.34 lakh to Rs 14.14 lakh, offers a 1.5-liter petrol engine producing 103 bhp power and 137 Nm peak torque.
