Maruti Suzuki India Unveils New Leadership Lineup for April 2024

Maruti Suzuki India, the country’s largest automobile manufacturer, has announced significant leadership changes set to take effect from April 1, 2024. The reshuffle aims to streamline operations, enhance strategic focus, and drive growth in the competitive automotive landscape.

Partho Banerjee, currently serving as the Head of Service, will assume the pivotal role of Head of Marketing and Sales. This move underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening its sales and branding efforts under Banerjee’s leadership.

Shashank Srivastava, the outgoing head of marketing and sales, will transition to the Member Executive Committee, bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to broader strategic initiatives within the organization.

In another key appointment, Tarun Aggarwal will take over as the Head of Engineering, succeeding CV Raman. Aggarwal’s extensive experience, particularly in the Powertrain vertical, positions him well to drive innovation and excellence in engineering at Maruti Suzuki.

The internal promotions of Sandeep Raina to Head of Product Planning and Ram Suresh Akella to Head of Service underscore the company’s focus on nurturing talent from within and rewarding exceptional performance.

Furthermore, Rajesh Uppal’s inclusion in the Member Executive Committee reflects Maruti Suzuki’s recognition of the critical role played by HR & IT in shaping organizational strategy and culture.

Other notable changes include Manoj Gautam assuming the role of Head of IT, Salil B Lal as Head of HR, and Sunil Kakkar transitioning to Head of Corporate Planning from his previous position as Head of Supply Chain.

Deepak Thukral and Rahul Bharti have also been appointed as Head of Supply Chain and Head of Corporate Affairs, respectively, signaling a concerted effort to fortify Maruti Suzuki’s operational and administrative functions.
