Honda’s Elevate Compact SUV Drives Sales to 12-Month High, Boosting Festive Season Expectations

September 2023 marked a remarkable upswing in sales for Japanese automaker Honda Cars India Limited. The company reported a robust sales figure of 9,861 units during the month, reflecting an impressive year-on-year growth of 13.2 percent. Notably, this figure exclusively encompasses the domestic sales performance of Honda Cars India for September, excluding any export figures.

Elevate Compact SUV’s Impact: Commenting on this remarkable sales achievement, Yuichi Murata, Director of Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India, highlighted the pivotal role played by the newly launched Honda Elevate compact SUV. Murata noted, “Honda Cars India is amid an exciting phase with the launch of the all-new Honda Elevate. The new SUV has emerged as a frontrunner and is contributing significantly to the sales momentum during this festive season. The Honda City and Amaze also continue to perform well in their respective segments.”

Optimistic Festive Season Outlook: With the automotive industry experiencing robust demand as the festive season kicks off, Murata expressed optimism about the upcoming festivities in India. “The auto industry is experiencing strong demand at the beginning of the festive season. With an extended festive period this year, we expect this momentum to continue, which is very encouraging,” he added.
