2025 Kawasaki KLX 300 Launched Internationally: Key Highlights

Kawasaki has recently introduced the 2025 KLX 300 in international markets. This road-going dual-sport motorcycle offers an appealing mix of performance and versatility, making it suitable for both road and off-road adventures. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest KLX 300.

Pricing and Availability

The 2025 Kawasaki KLX 300 is priced at USD 6,199 in the US, which converts to approximately Rs. 5.18 lakh in Indian currency. In contrast, the track-only KLX 300R, which is available in India, is priced at USD 6,299. Although the KLX 300 would be a great addition to the Indian market, its high price point makes its launch in India unlikely. Instead, Kawasaki plans to localize the Versys-X 300 for the Indian market, with an expected launch later this year.

Design and Features

The 2025 KLX 300 maintains its high-performance dual-sport design, tailored for both road and off-road use. For this model year, Kawasaki has not introduced any mechanical or structural changes. However, it has updated the bike’s aesthetics with new graphics and decals, offering a fresh look.

Colour Options

Unlike the 2024 model, which was available in three colors, the 2025 KLX 300 comes in two distinct paint schemes: Lime Green and Battle Gray. These new color options add to the bike’s visual appeal, making it stand out in the dual-sport category.

Engine and Performance

The Kawasaki KLX 300 is powered by a 292cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This motor produces 28.6bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 26.3Nm at 7,000rpm, coupled with a six-speed gearbox. This setup ensures a balanced performance for both on-road and off-road riding conditions.

Hardware and Suspension

The 2025 KLX 300 features robust hardware to handle diverse terrains. It is equipped with 43mm USD forks at the front and a linkage-type mono-shock at the rear. The bike rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, fitted with dual-purpose tires that provide excellent grip and stability on various surfaces.
