Empowering Agriculture: Government Subsidy Unleashes Tractor Rotavators at Half the Cost

In a significant move to boost agriculture and support farmers, the government has initiated a subsidy program for tractor rotavators. These essential farming tools, integral to various agricultural activities, are now available at double the power and half the price, thanks to the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme. The subsidy, applicable until January 15, 2024, aims to enhance accessibility and affordability for farmers across different sections.

Government Subsidy Details: Under the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme, farmers from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Extremely Backward Class categories are eligible for an impressive 50% subsidy on the purchase of a tractor rotavator. Meanwhile, other farmers will receive a substantial 40% subsidy on the cost of this essential farming equipment. The government has capped the maximum subsidy at Rs 84,000 per farmer. Importantly, only one person from a family identity card can avail the subsidy, and possessing a Tractor Registration Certificate (RC) is mandatory for subsidy approval.

Application Process: To avail the subsidy on tractor rotavators in Haryana, farmers can conveniently visit the official website of the Agriculture Department at https://www.agriharyana.gov.in/. The application process necessitates farmers to provide the full price of the tractor along with obtaining a receipt. Subsequently, the subsidy will undergo approval after a physical verification of the purchased machine. Once verified, the subsidy amount will be seamlessly transferred to the farmer’s account upon presenting the receipt to the Agriculture Department. For additional information and assistance, farmers can reach out to the Agriculture Department in their respective districts.

Agricultural Growth and Financial Support: Tractor rotavators play a vital role in various farming activities, from sowing seeds to mixing residue in the fields. The government’s subsidy scheme is a strategic step towards making these indispensable tools more accessible and affordable for farmers. By extending financial assistance, the government aims to bolster agricultural activities, contributing significantly to the growth and sustainability of the farming sector.
