Pune: Arvind Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee came to power in New Delhi and West Bengal on their own. But Sharad Pawar never formed the government on his own, said NCP leader Dilip Walse- Patil here on Monday.
He was speaking in a gathering of NCP workers. He said, “Not more than 70 MLAs were elected under the leadership of Sharad Pawar in the past. It was neither my personal decision nor that of Ajit Pawar to join the government. A majority of NCP MLAs wanted to join the government.”
“The MLAs were restless as development works were blocked. We conveyed this to Pawar saheb. However, he did not take any decision. The decision has been taken after deliberations. This does not mean we have joined the BJP. *We are very much in the NCP,” said Walse-Patil.
