Pune, 28th July 2023: A serious accident occurred near Nigdi on Thursday when a tanker transporting liquid oxygen crashed into a road divider near Madhukar Pawale Bridge. According to officials, the tanker was en route from Murbad, Thane, to Mundhwa in Pune when the incident took place.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday night, as the driver of the tanker lost control over the vehicle, leading to the collision with the road divider. As a result of the crash, the helper in the tanker, identified as Sukhdev Singh Chauhan (48), sustained injuries. Fortunately, immediate assistance was provided to him on the spot for primary treatment.
It is important to mention that such accidents involving tankers carrying hazardous materials are a cause for concern, as they can pose significant risks to both the driver and the general public.
