Pune/PCMC, June 12, 2023 – Residents of Pimpri Chinchwad are advised to brace themselves for a temporary disruption in water supply as the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced scheduled maintenance for key water infrastructure facilities. The maintenance period will last from Thursday evening to Friday morning, impacting water availability across the city.
The maintenance activities will focus on essential facilities, including the sewage treatment plant in Ravet, the water treatment plant in Nigdi, and the overall water distribution system within Pimpri Chinchwad. The primary purpose of this maintenance round is to conduct electrical repairs at the Ravet sewage treatment plant. Additionally, routine maintenance and repairs will be carried out on the electricity and water supply systems at the Water Purification Center in Sector 23 Nigdi. Furthermore, necessary maintenance work will be performed on the city’s water distribution system.
Due to the nature of these maintenance operations, there will be a temporary halt in the water supply. Therefore, residents of Pimpri Chinchwad City should expect disruptions in water availability starting from Thursday evening, June 15th, and extending until Friday morning, June 16th. As a result, residents may experience irregular water supply and low water pressure during Friday morning.
Recognizing the inconvenience caused by the water supply disruption, the PCMC urges citizens to use water sparingly during this period. By conserving water, residents can contribute to mitigating the impact of reduced water availability and pressure. The municipal corporation is committed to executing the maintenance and repairs efficiently, with the aim of restoring normal water supply as soon as possible.
