Mumbai, August 13, 2023: Rajinikanth, the legendary superstar, has once again showcased his unbeatable appeal at the box office with his latest film “Jailer,” directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Consequently, the cumulative box office earnings for “Jailer” in India have surged to an approximate total of Rs 141.1 crore. Globally, the movie’s collections have reportedly surged past the impressive Rs 250 crore milestone, though the detailed breakdown of international earnings is yet to be unveiled.

Esteemed trade analyst Ramesh Bala also shared that the film has made significant strides in the US market. He tweeted, “On Saturday, #Jailer amassed $830K in the USA,” thereby propelling the overall US box office earnings of “Jailer” to a commendable $3.17 million.

Ever since its release, “Jailer” has shattered multiple records, attesting to its unparalleled success. On its opening day, the Rajinikanth starrer clinched titles like ‘Biggest Opening in Tamil Nadu in 2023,’ ‘Biggest Indian Premiere of 2023 in the USA,’ and ‘Biggest Tamil Opener Overseas in 2023,’ among other remarkable achievements.

This movie marks Rajinikanth’s triumphant return to the silver screen after a hiatus of two years since his last appearance in “Annaatthe.” The ensemble cast of “Jailer” boasts prominent names like Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Vasant Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Reding Kingsley. Among the film’s highlights is Tamannaah Bhatia’s captivating dance routine in the song “Kaavaalaa,” which has already generated significant online buzz.
