Pune: State Govt Approves Proposal To Set Up Trauma Care Center In Wagholi

The state government of Maharashtra has granted approval for the establishment of a trauma care center in Wagholi, Pune. The proposal was approved as a special case on June 28 through an official General Resolution (GR). This development is expected to significantly enhance emergency healthcare services for accident victims, particularly those on the Pune-Ahmednagar Highway.

The authorities have already identified a plot of land owned by the Zila Parishad in Wagholi, which will soon be transferred to the name of the Public Health Department for the purpose of setting up the trauma care center.

Currently, accident victims are rushed to institutions such as Sassoon General Hospital, Aundh District Hospital, or private hospitals for treatment. With the establishment of the trauma care center in Wagholi, the city will have an additional facility dedicated to providing specialized care to accident victims.

Trauma care centers play a crucial role in providing immediate and specialized medical attention to individuals who have experienced severe injuries, often as a result of accidents or emergencies. These centers are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, advanced medical equipment, and a specialized medical team to ensure timely and effective treatment for trauma patients.

By setting up a trauma care center in Wagholi, the state government aims to enhance emergency healthcare services in the region and reduce the travel time for accident victims to reach the nearest medical facility. This initiative will help save precious time during critical situations and improve the chances of survival and recovery for those in need.
