Pune: St. Vincent’s High School Creates History with Dominant Victory in Loyola Football Cup

Pune, 18th July 2023: St. Vincent’s High School made an indelible mark in the Under-14 section of the Loyola Football Cup powered by Tata Autocomp at the Loyola H.S ground, Pashan, with a record-breaking win.

In a spectacular display of skill and teamwork, St. Vincent’s H.S showcased their prowess, overwhelming CM International in a one-sided encounter. The tournament, organized by the Ex Loyola Students Network (ELAN) and Loyola High School, Pune, witnessed St. Vincent’s H.S emerging victorious in all their matches against CM International. The Under-12 team secured a convincing 7-0 win, while the Under-16 team emerged triumphant with a 4-0 scoreline.

However, it was the Under-14 St. Vincentians who stole the spotlight with an extraordinary performance. Shlok Mithapelli opened the scoring in the 6th minute and went on to add two more goals in the 15th and 47th minutes. The floodgates then opened as Param Bhargav (8th, 28th, 30th) and Pranav Motwani (12th, 16th, 22nd) joined the three-goal club.

The goal frenzy continued as Ethan Lobo (21st), Aaron Baben (24th, 40th), Naytik Gupta (38th), and Neil Jagdale (39th) made their mark on the scoreboard. Jonah Ambat (27th, 41st, 43rd) completed the quartet of players with a hat-trick, cementing their place in the esteemed ‘Club-3 Goals’.

In the Under-12 section, Ansh Lodha’s exceptional performance with a hat-trick (28th, 35th, 38th) led St. Vincent’s H.S to a resounding 7-0 victory. Vihaan Shinde (4th, 29th), Samyak Bhandari (20th), and Anvic Lobo (26th) also contributed to the team’s success with their goals.

The Under-16 section witnessed a stellar performance by Shaunak Dhapate, who scored a hat-trick (1st, 18th, 29th), leading St. Vincent’s H.S to a 4-0 victory. Nathan D’Souza (51st) completed the tally with his goal.
