Pune, 6th July 2023: The Anti-Encroachment team of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) persists in its efforts to remove illegal structures and encroachments in the Dhayari area. Following the demolition of multiple establishments constructed unlawfully on government land, PMC officials conducted further demolitions on Thursday.

According to PMC authorities, a substantial area of 6,900 square feet was reclaimed by demolishing both temporary and permanent structures encroaching on government land in Dhayari. This includes nine establishments situated in lane number 23 of Dhayari.

To address this violation, the Pune Municipal Corporation has issued notices to the landowners in accordance with Section 53 (1) (a) and 54 of the Municipal Corporation Act. On the preceding day, Wednesday, PMC officials had demolished structures in the same vicinity, freeing approximately 32,900 square feet of government land from encroachment.

The PMC’s ongoing campaign against illegal structures aims to restore public land, maintain urban planning regulations, and uphold the principles of fair governance. These decisive actions intend to deter future encroachments and ensure the proper utilization of land for the benefit of the community.
