Pune: The ‘One Pune Card’ and ‘One Pune Vidyarthi Pass’, the two smart cards issued by the Pune Metro administration are getting an increasing response.
As many as 38,734 people have bought ‘One Pune Card’ while 10,444 students have purchased ‘One Pune Vidyarthi Pass’. The Metro administration has appealed to people that more passengers should avail the benefit of smart card.
Pune Metro recently crossed the milestone of one lakh passengers. Travellers have two options of buying tickets – offline and through kiosk machines. The metro administration issues a multipurpose smart card to passengers to save them the hassle of standing in the queue daily. For others, ‘One Pune Card’ and ‘One Pune Vidyarthi Pass’ are available.
The ‘One Pune Card’ holders can avail 10 pc concession from Monday to Friday and 30 pc on Saturdays and Sundays. The ‘One Pune Vidyarthi Card’ holders get 30 pc concession for all 30 days. Both the cards are getting a good response.
Passengers can procure a smart card by visiting the website of Pune Metro, where they can fill the form or submit it at metro stations, said the Metro administration.
