Pune: BJP Supporters and workers are airing their anger against NCP (AP) President Ajit Pawar’s presence in the Maha Yuti.

An article written in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) mouthpiece ‘Organiser’ has claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) suffered drubbing in the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra due to joining hands with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-AP).

It claimed that there was no need to take along Pawar when the Shiv Sena (BT) and BJP had the majority. It could be avoided. Aligning with Pawar shocked the BJP supporters, who have been opposing the Congress ideology for so many years. The BJP belittled itself due to this.

A review meeting of BJP workers in Shirur echoed the sentiment. MLA Rahul Kul and office-bearers were present in the meeting. A worker expressed his anger over the issue.

He said, “Ajit Pawar did injustice to BJP leaders. If you really wish to listen to party workers, you must oust Ajit Pawar from the Maha Yuti. Pawar did injustice to Subhash Bappu and Yogesh Dada. They would have become ministers. They would have been appointed heads of government corporations.

“We do not want power or a chair if Ajit Pawar is with us. We have been opposing the NCP for the past 10 years. Now, you want us to work with them. BJP workers do not want power in the State Assembly if Ajit Pawar is with us. Should we win elections for him?”
